«Return to News Listing2019 Mayor’s Give Back Ball

May 20, 2019 –
This year of 2019, Mayor Alan Webber put a new twist on the Mayor’s Ball, a wonderful annual Santa Fe philanthropic tradition. Mayor Alan Webber wanted to say “Thank You” to the hard-working—and often unrecognized—volunteers who make our city run, having the first ever Mayor’s Give Back Ball.
The Mayor’s Give Back Ball was not a fundraiser—it was a celebration! The Mayor and his committee picked 27 non-profits (big and small) to be honored at the first year’s Mayor’s Give Back Ball and each non-profit was gifted free tickets to honor and recognize the volunteers of their program.
We all know that Santa Fe is a city where volunteers make an enormous difference. City government is small compared to the countless hours, devotion, and dollars that volunteers contribute to making Santa Fe the special place it is. Every day, Santa Fe’s volunteers give back to our community. March 30th, at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center, hundreds of people came together to give back to the volunteers, with a night of celebration and the recognition they deserve. The Mayor’s Give Back Ball was the ultimate salute to our City’s volunteers— those who give back so much to us.
NMCTR was thrilled to honor eight of our volunteers and their partners at the Mayor’s Give Back Ball. They were honored and recognized and treated to a wonderful dinner and a night of dancing! Thank you NMCTR volunteers, we would not be able to operate without each and every one of you!
