NMCTR received a $25,000 grant from the Josephine Hughes Sterling Foundation. The Foundation funds programs and projects for educational scholarships, medical purposes, protection of animals, and art & historical preservation.

NMCTR continues to grow and it is time for NMCTR to have a forever home! NMCTR plans to use the grant monies as start-up funds for the purchase of a new property and relocation costs. This opportunity would allow NMCTR to invest the funds into a long-term asset that would relieve the annual budget, but more importantly the program and the riders, volunteers, and horses that benefit so greatly from it. NMCTR plans to continue its pursuit to “change lives one stride at a time” on a larger level and impact more lives in Santa Fe and the surrounding areas.  With its implementation, NMCTR will be able to operate independently and operate as a permanent staple within the Santa Fe community.
