NMCTR has used the monies from recent grants to hire TWO new staff members. In the beginning of 2020, NMCTR hired Lindsay Lechner as NMCTR’s Barn Manager to assist in the care of NMCTR’s equines, monitor the equine’s health, mentally and physically, and train the volunteers to work hands on with the equines. Kaylee Britton was also hired as NMCTR’s Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate volunteer duties, schedule volunteers for lessons and special events, and recruit new volunteers to expand the volunteer program. Lindsay Lechner 
Lindsay Graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Degree in Equine Business Management and Riding. She has been a professional in the equestrian world for over 10 years. She is a graduate B of the United States Pony Club and currently is the DC of Santa Fe Pony Club (also an Alumni). She has competed in 3-day Eventing and is currently pursuing a goal to achieve her Bronze Medal in Dressage. She looks forward to creating an even more enjoyable life for the amazing therapeutic riding horses at NMCTR.

Kaylee Britton 
Kaylee grew up in Los Alamos and has been riding horses on and off for the last 14 years. She has taken care of horses and various animals for most of her life, including as a ranch hand caring for 90+ head of horses, cows, and buffalo. She attended West Texas A&M University and graduated in 2017 with a B.S. in Equine Industry and Business, and a minor in Animal Science. Soon after graduation, she moved back to NM to pursue a career as a PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, which she is currently working towards at NMCTR. She has always had a desire to work with kids and individuals with special needs, and loves it.
