Sherman

January 7, 2021 –

Like other therapeutic riding centers around the globe, NMCTR has been affected by the pandemic and had to undergo closures, financial losses, and surrounded by many questions with no answers. In December, our Executive Director leased her miniature pony named Sherman to NMCTR so that he could make home visits being that the program was not offering at facility programming.

Sherman is a younger miniature pony that stands 33 inches tall and will act as NMCTR’s Equine Assisted Learning Pony. Sherman is great for those that may be intimated by bigger horses, a great emotional companion, and will continue home visits. We also plan to take Sherman to community events to spread the word about therapeutic riding and equine assisted learning.

Welcome to our herd Sherman!
